Recently I had the pleasure of experiencing the most mouthwateringly moreish new B&L bar bites menu at the VIP media launch at the trendy Burger & Lobster bar.

Their name basically sums up everything on the menu.

10 food items all for the price of R38 each!

*Spicy Prawn Popcorn: Spiced deep fried prawn popcorn topped with fresh chives & lime, served with garlic and herb aioli.
Mini Burger Bombs: Deep-fried mini burger patties stuffed with melted cheese, topped with maple bacon, chives & cheese. Served with our home-made spicy ranch dip.
*Bacon Mac & Cheese Basket: Mac & Cheese balls infused with maple bacon wrapped in oven baked phyllo pastry
*Mini Prawn Roll: Fresh prawns dressed in a light home-made Japanese mayonnaise & onion chives, served in a warm, toasted New England style brioche roll.
Sliders: Two miniature burgers consisting of our famous B&L bacon and cheeseburger and our Southern fried Sriracha-infused buttermilk chicken burger.
Spicy Buffalo Wings: Frank’s RedHot spicy buffalo wings served with our homemade ranch dressing.
BBQ Buffalo Wings: Spicy honey and BBQ buffalo wings accompanied with our homemade ranch dressing.
The Burger Bites: Our signature burger blend wrapped in a pastry shell with cheese and
Lobster & Prawn Bites: Fresh lobster and prawn wrapped in a fried pastry shell with cheese, lemon zest, chives and a side of sweet chilli sauce.
St. Jack Daniel’s Pork Ribs: St. Louis style Pork ribs with a Jack Daniel’s® glaze served with our homemade ranch dressing.

As for the drinks, Martini Bianco & Tonic on arrival, followed by this good-looking Exotic Marigold cocktail. Hendricks Gin dry shaken with grapefruit syrup, smoked chamomile cellulose, grapefruit juice and fresh lime. Poured over ice and topped with tonic water.

Whilst I am not an alcoholic drinker, however, I would be remiss if I didn’t include the incredible cocktails on offer for the unbelievable deal of 2 for the price of one!

A wide variety of cocktails are on offer, but there are also mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails) as well as soft drinks available too for those who don’t drink. Simply ask your waitron for a Virgin Mojito or Virgin Strawberry mule, as these are not listed on the cocktail menu.

*Disclaimer: I do not eat pork, prawn or lobster, but I could tell from my compadres lip-smacking look on their faces that it didn’t taste too shabby
