Holiday Inn Sandton hotel is a member of the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and unlike its smaller counterparts, this lavish hotel welcomes its guests with extravagant chandeliers and a 10-metre long fireplace in the lobby.
If you’re like me, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that this Holiday Inn is unlike any other Holiday Inn you may have experienced before.
What I loved most about this hotel during my one night stay in Johannesburg, South Africa:

- 24 Fitness Centre
- Outdoor pool on the 9th floor open from 6am – 6pm
- Conveniently located merely 500m from the Gautrain and 5 minutes from Sandton City mall
- Complimentary shuttle for Sandton
- The cocktail lounge: Skye Bar

The Holiday Inn caters for the business traveller and corporate with:
- Business centre
- 3 Conference rooms
- 7 meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 200 people
Lettuce and Lime
This quirky named restaurant is the dining destination of this hotel. Open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
I loved their continental breakfast buffet and the lovely open spaced seating.

Skye Bar
Skye Bar
Luxurious bar on the 9th floor with sweeping views of Sandton. Drink in the panoramic view whilst drinking a perfectly opulent sundowner or two. Like the daring new cocktail I tried, the Honeybee Martini! Trust me it’s so delicious I had two!
The plush furniture and decadent chandeliers will have you lingering for more.

The Chairman Bar
The Chairman is located in the Holiday Inn Sandton on the ground floor. This is a coffee bar serving a variety of refreshments and snacks.
Hours of operation: 6:30 AM – 11:00 PM
