Hipsters by the sea
Now that ain’t a bad thing, with at least a dozen craft beers available to go with your thick, juicy burger we beach bums no longer need to flock to Kloof in Cape Town to experience the uber coolness of Jerry’s Burger Bar.
You can find this hip and happening spot right above Carlucci’s Deli and the Kite Surf store on the corner of Marine Drive and Athens street in Blouberg, Cape Town (South Africa).
With a bit of an American feel to it, Jerry’s is unmistakably linked to the Sailor Jerry Rum and you can see this as you enter with the pinup dolls leading the way.
There is seating inside and out, we opted for a sunny corner on the deck.
Jerry’s Burger & Fries
I had the Jerry’s Burger: Smoky BBQ, topped with swiss cheese, caramelised red onion & rocket and the BF had the Jack D: Sticky Jack Daniels sauce with caramelised onion & bacon, both served with a decent size of shoestring fries.
Dark & Stormy Seas Cocktail
Washed down with an ice-cold Dark & Stormy Seas Rum Cocktail (Dark rum with ginger beer, fresh lime and angostura bitters)…mister had a nice double thick chocolate shake.
Prices are not too expensive but not too cheap, and our waitress was friendly providing great service!
All-in-all this is definitely a winning combo of burgers, beer & the beach.
