Nice and Spicy, two words that sum up my experience at Noble Hill wine Estate and exactly what one needs to warm up on a cold day!
American mother and son duo Kristopher and Kathleen Tillery are the owners of Noble Hill Wine Estate, who are shaking things up in the Winelands with their Calmex Menu.
On such a chilly winterβs day the cosy fireplace, wine and food pairing was most welcome.
Noble Hill’s Blanc de blanc went down quite well with a few bites of nachos and fresh guacamole.
We were thoroughly spoilt and enjoyed a sampling from CosechaΒ restaurantβs new winter menu. What sets them apart from every other wine estate in Franschhoek, is their distinct departure from the French-inspired cuisine. Taking inspiration from their Californian/Mexican roots, you will find a fresh guacamole station with a guacamole chef and spicy Spanish fare. An unusual combination of nice and spicy flavours paired with their delicate wines is guaranteed to delight your senses!Β
That nice little kick you feel on your tongue as you bite into one of their tasty morselsΒ is thanks to their spicy homegrown chilli peppers.
After all the spiciness, we were treated to a rich flourless moist chocolate cake, which gladly satisfied my sweet tooth.
In addition to wine, Noble Hill also produces their own range of organic olive oil.
I can say, withoutΒ a doubt that I will be back soon for my next fix of Californian sunshine in my mouth!
