Well known for its Chardonnays and recently passing the 100-year history mark of family
winemaking at Weltevrede, time was taken to reflect what exactly it is that makes this patch of land
so special. With the realisation that the terroir equation of the land included more than just ancient
geology and specific climate, but also the many generations of people who have lived on and worked
this land for more than a century, honour is given with the Weltevrede1912 wine to these people, their hard work, values, their dreams, passions and preferences.
This unique wine bears the name of every person living at and working in the vineyards and winery of Weltevrede, instead of putting the signature of the winemaker on the label.
Weltevrede wine estate has many offerings and experiences that any couple or family would enjoy.
The tasting room offers wine tastings and sales as well as seasonal food and wine pairings.
Accommodation on the estate makes for a perfect getaway for relaxation and exploring the
Robertson wine region. Weltevrede has four farm stay cottages sleeping 13 in total. Whether you
are staying over or just visiting, the Bistro in the courtyard serves breakfasts and lunches and for
those wanting to experience the magic of Weltevrede, come and enjoy their signature underground
